Return/ Refund policy

RETURN & REFUND POLICY – THE BLAC

1. RETURNS

Our return policy is valid for 7 days from the date of delivery.
Within this period, you can initiate a return request using the link above.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused

  • The item must be in the same condition as received

  • Item must be in its original packaging

  • All freebies received with the order must also be returned

  • Return request must be raised within 7 days

If 7 days have passed since delivery, we unfortunately cannot offer a return or refund.


2. EXCHANGES

If your order is defective, damaged, or simply doesn’t suit you, you may request an exchange for:

  • The same product, or

  • Any other product from our store

Our exchange policy is also valid for 7 days from the date of delivery.

Depending on your location, delivery time for exchanged products may vary.


3. RETURN SHIPPING / PICKUP

  • We will arrange reverse pickup only from the original delivery address.

  • Please keep the product ready in its original packaging for pickup.

  • If your pincode is not reverse-serviceable, we may request that you self-ship the product.

    • In such cases, we reimburse reasonable return shipping costs up to ₹70.

    • Amounts over ₹70 (shipping fees, duties, taxes, etc.) will be deducted from the refund.

  • For non-serviceable pincodes, the customer must return the product to our warehouse and will be reimbursed ₹70.

If you are unavailable or do not answer calls from the delivery partner, the pickup may be cancelled and the return process must be reinitiated.


4. REFUNDS

Refunds are processed only after the returned product is:

  1. Received at our warehouse

  2. Inspected and approved by our QA team

This process takes up to 7 days from the date The Blac receives the returned item.

Refund Method:

  • Prepaid Orders:
    Amount will be refunded to the original method of payment.
    UPI / Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking refunds typically reflect within 3–5 working days.

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders:
    We will request your bank account or UPI details for refund processing.

Important Notes:

  • Cash-on-delivery charges and shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable.

  • Refunds will not be issued if the product fails quality inspection.


5. IMPORTANT CONDITIONS & EVIDENCE REQUIREMENT

For defective, damaged, incomplete, or wrong orders, you must inform us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear proof.

You must provide:

A mandatory 360-degree unboxing video showing:

  • Fully sealed and intact parcel

  • Opening of the parcel

  • Product inside the box

  • Labels, tags, and invoice

  • Clear zoomed shots of the issue (damage, defect, wrong item, missing item)

Requests without proper video evidence will not be accepted.

Additional Notes:

  • Visible tampering or insufficient evidence may result in the claim being rejected.

  • The brand’s decision after review will be final.

    We will investigate and respond within 48–72 hours.

Claims raised after 48 hours of receiving the order may not be considered.


6. ORDER-LEVEL RETURNS ONLY

Return or exchange requests are processed at the order level and not product-by-product.
We no longer allow returns/exchanges for individual items within the same order.

In case of missing items in return shipments:

  • If multiple products were claimed to be returned but not all are included in the pickup,
    The Blac may deduct up to the full MRP of the missing item(s) from the refund.

This also applies to free gifts or promotional items.


7. EXCEPTIONS – NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Any single piece of jewellery from a combo or gift box

  • Products purchased during special promotions, clearance sales, contests, or special schemes
